Jupiter allows you to pull individual or joint soft credit reports directly from the loan application once borrower consent has been captured. Soft credit pulls help you review credit details without impacting the borrower’s credit score.

How to pull a soft credit report in Jupiter

1. Navigate to the loan page and click into the loan you want to work on.
2. Click on "Credit & liabilities" from the top menu

Here you will see the status of the consent to pull credit. If consent has not been captured the option to pull credit will be greyed out and not available.

Important: If borrower consent has not yet been captured but you obtained it outside of the application you can capture that consent information in this section.

1. Click on "Capture consent".

2. Select "I already have consent from this client "(if applicable).

3. Choose the type of consent obtained ie, via phone call, email etc.

4. Enter the date.

5. Click "Save".

Note: You also have the option to "request a signed credit consent document" from the borrower in this step should you wish.

Repeat this step for each borrower on the application

3. Once consent is obtained and saved the "Order soft credit" button will no longer be greyed out and you can click on "Order soft credit"

4. Next choose whether the credit pull should be individual, or joint (if multiple borrowers have consented) and click "Continue".

5. Choose the credit provider(s) you want to pull soft credit from and click on "Order credit".

The soft credit report will generate automatically and the results will appear directly in the "Credit & liabilities"section of the loan where you can review it.
