Creating a new loan in Jupiter is super easy so we recommend you invite a borrower to fill out an application on their own. However, if you prefer, you can start the application from inside Jupiter, fill out some details over the phone, then invite the borrower to finish the rest. Or you can fill out the entire application for the borrower and never invite them to the portal
How to edit or add information to an application for a borrower
1. Click on the loan you wish to start an application for. This will take you to the "Overview" page.
2. Click on "Application" from the left menu and scroll down to the various sections of the application you'd like to complete or choose the section from the top menu.
3. Fill in or edit the information and click on "Save changes".
The information you filled in will now be visible in the application for you and the borrower(s).
How to add an additional borrower to an application
1. Select "Borrowers" from the top menu and then click on "+ " in the Borrowers section.
2. Fill in the "Personal details" and click on "Save changes".
3. If you'd like you can fill in their "Address history"" Employment and Income" and the Declaration" by first selecting the borrower and then choosing those sections from the top menu.
How to invite a borrower to complete an application
1. If you wish to invite a borrower to contribute to the application at any point, click on "Borrower tools" from the top menu and then select "Portal access" and then "Invite borrower".
2. Here you can enter a message to the borrower and choose what kind of access to give them (the ability to edit the application or just to review and add documents).
3. The borrower will receive an email inviting them to the application with a link to get started.
How to reinvite your borrower(s) or cancel an invitation
You can resend the invite or copy the link and send it that way, should the client request it.
1. If you wish to re- invite a borrower to contribute to the application at any point, click on "Borrower tools" from the top menu and then select "Portal access" and then "Reinvite borrower" or "Cancel invite".
2. Here you can enter a message to the borrower and choose what kind of access to give them (the ability to edit the application or just to review and add documents).
3. The borrower will receive an email inviting them to the application with a link to get started.
Tip: If the borrower advises they have not received the invitation have them check their "Spam" or "Junk" folder.
How to request documents from a borrower
If you want the borrower to upload documents you have a few options. If you have Smart Documents activated and you have invited the borrower, you can allow the customized "Smart document" rules to do the work for you by listing which documents your borrower(s) should upload based on the answers on the application.
These document requests will automatically appear in the borrower's portal.
You can also request documents from your borrowers or upload any documents you already have. To learn more about how to request documents read the "How to request documents " article.
Jupiter provides "Smart suggestions" for documents to help you create a request quickly or you can chose to create a different request by clicking on."New request" to create your own.
If you are the team administrator on Fuse, you can also create custom document requests which will then appear in the dropdown menu of choices of documents.
