Using Fee Worksheets you can create, save, compare, and share closing cost scenarios directly within a loan file.

The Fee Worksheets feature allows you to create professional closing cost estimates for borrowers without using spreadsheets, fillable PDFs, or external tools.

With Fee Worksheets, you can:

  • Build custom fee scenarios

  • Include closing costs, prepaid items, escrow reserves, and credits

  • Generate branded PDF worksheets

  • Create multiple versions for comparison

  • Save and revisit worksheets anytime within the loan file

Important: Fee Worksheets are informational documents only. They are not Loan Estimates and do not require borrower signatures. They should not be used as regulatory disclosure documents.


How to access Fee Worksheets in Jupiter

  1. Open a loan file in Jupiter LOS.

  2. Navigate to the Fee Worksheets section.

  3. Select Start New to create a new worksheet.

  4. A new draft worksheet will be created and ready for editing.

Fee Worksheets allow you to enter estimated costs associated with a mortgage transaction.


How to Add Standard Fees in the Fee Worksheet

You can enter common fees such as:

  • Administrative Fees

  • Underwriting Fees

  • Discount Points

  • Appraisal Fees

Simply enter your fee data in the fields within the displayed open Fee Worksheet.

How to add Custom Line Items in the Fee Worksheet

Need to include a fee that isn't listed in the Fee Worksheet?

  1. Click the Add a new line item.

2. Enter a custom line description.

3. Enter the fee amount.

How to Add Prepaid Items and Escrow Reserves in the Fee Worksheet

Continue through the worksheet to enter:

  • Homeowners Insurance

  • Property Tax Reserves

  • HOA Fees

  • Escrow Requirements

  • Additional Adjustments and Credits

How to View the Cost Summary in the Fee Worksheet

As fees and costs are entered, Jupiter automatically updates the summary panel.

The summary provides a real-time view of:

  • Total Closing Costs

  • Prepaid Items

  • Escrow Requirements

  • Estimated Cash to Close

This allows you to review the impact of changes before generating the final worksheet.

How to Save and Preview the Fee Worksheet PDF

When your worksheet is complete:

  1. Select Save & Preview PDF

A PDF version of the worksheet will be generated and opened in a new browser tab.

The PDF includes:

  • Your company branding and logo

  • Loan details

  • Estimated fees and costs

  • Summary information

You can download or share the PDF with your borrower as needed.

How to copy and update an existing Fee Worksheet

One of the most powerful features of Fee Worksheets is the ability to compare different cost scenarios. You can do this by copying an existing Fee Worksheet and updating it.

Existing Worksheet

  1. Within your open loan file in Jupiter, Navigate to the Fee Worksheets section.

  2. Click on the Copy icon on one of your existing Fee Worksheet lines.

3. Make any necessary adjustments.

4. Save the new version.

The copied worksheet automatically carries over all previously entered information, reducing data entry and saving time.


How to Add Descriptions and Notes to your Fee Worksheets

When creating or copying a worksheet, you can add a custom description.

Examples:

  • With Underwriting Fee

  • FHA Option

  • Conventional 20% Down

  • First-Time Homebuyer Scenario

Descriptions help distinguish between multiple worksheets and make it easier to identify the purpose of each scenario.

How to Manage Saved Worksheets

From the Fee Worksheets landing page, you'll see a list of all saved worksheets for the loan file.

Each worksheet displays:

  • Date generated

  • Monthly payment

  • Base loan amount

  • Loan type

  • DTI

  • Custom Description (if added)

From this page, you can:

  • Open a worksheet and download the PDF again

  • Create a copy of a recent Fee Worksheet

  • Delete a Fee Worksheet
