Before pulling either a soft credit or a full credit report in Jupiter, each borrower on a loan must provide credit consent. Jupiter makes this process simple by allowing borrowers to sign consent directly in their application portal or through a secure email link. Once signed, a digitally signed, date- and time-stamped PDF is automatically created and attached to the loan.

What will the borrower see when being asked for consent?
Each borrower will see the consent displayed as a final step of their application. They are required to agree and check both boxes to continue. Once they agree, they have to click “Give consent” and the digitally signed consent document will be created. It will be dated and timestamped.

What if a borrower is not invited to the application but you require a consent to pull credit?
If you require consent for a borrower who is not invited to view the application, they can be invited to grant consent via email by another borrower on the application or by the loan officer.
How can a borrower request consent from another borrower who is not invited to view the application?
1. Click "Consent" on the left menu in the application portal. All borrowers will be displayed.
2. Select the borrower and click on "Send email request for consent". A request for consent will be sent to that borrower’s email.
