Archiving a loan in Jupiter removes it from your active Loans dashboard without deleting it. Archived loans are preserved and can be restored at any time by unarchiving them. Archive a deal when it is no longer moving forward or when compliance work is complete and you don’t want the file cluttering your dashboard.
Tip: Archiving is a great way to keep your Loans dashboard tidy without losing history. Archived loans are not deleted — you can bring them back at any time.
Jupiter offers two ways to archive or unarchive a loan, depending on which dashboard view you use, the condensed view or the extended (table) view.
How do I archive a loan from the condensed dashboard view?
The condensed view archives a loan from the expand-row controls on the Loans dashboard. The full path is Loans dashboard → expand row (+) → Archive.
1. Open the Loans dashboard.
2. Find the loan you want to archive and click the + icon to expand it.

3. Click Archive.

How do I archive a loan from the extended (table) dashboard view?
The extended (table) view archives a loan from a dedicated Archive column. The full path is Loans dashboard → Archive column → archive icon.
1. Open the Loans dashboard.

Frequently asked questions
Does archiving a loan delete it from Jupiter?
No, archiving a loan does not delete it. Archived loans are preserved with their full history and can be restored at any time by unarchiving them. Archiving simply removes the loan from your active Loans dashboard so it doesn’t clutter your view.
How do I see my archived loans?
Open the Loans dashboard, click Filter, then check “Archived loans” to display archived items in the list. You can clear the filter at any time to return to your standard active-loans view.
Why would I archive a loan instead of leaving it on the dashboard?
Archive a loan when the deal is no longer moving forward or when your compliance work on the file is complete and you don’t want it cluttering your dashboard. Because archived loans are preserved (not deleted), archiving is a safer way to keep the dashboard tidy than removing the file outright.
Can I unarchive a loan after archiving it?
Yes, any archived loan can be restored. Filter the Loans dashboard for “Archived loans”, locate the loan, and click Unarchive (condensed view) or the up-arrow icon in the Archived column (extended table view). The loan reappears in your active list.
Where is the archive control in the extended (table) dashboard view?
The archive control is in the Archive column on the far right of the table. Scroll the table horizontally if needed, then click the archive icon on the loan’s row to archive it.
How do I return to my normal active-loans view after browsing archived loans?
Clear your filters on the Loans dashboard. Removing the “Archived loans” filter returns you to the standard view of active loans.
Does archiving a loan stop notifications on that loan?
This article doesn’t document the notification behavior for archived loans. If you need confirmation on whether assigned loan officers continue to receive client-activity notifications after a loan is archived, please contact Jupiter support.
